The Stratford Parcel Mailbox
Feel free to wave as you drive by The Stratford on your way out the door every morning. This sturdy but elegant lifeguard will keep your packages inside and hidden from your open porch and the possible stray dog roaming the neighborhood. The Stratford has 2 compartments; the upper mailbox is for basic letters, envelopes, magazines and the lower is for packages. Keys come for the lock on the back of the box for you to access your deliveries and an additional matching key set for the mailbox compartment on the front The Stratford can be anchored as is to any existing concrete or stone pad. In case no pad exists, we provide an anchoring post consisting of steel plate welded to a 20” long 3” x 3” steel tube to be set into concrete. Holes in the ¼” plate line up with the anchoring holes in the base of the parcel box, allowing easy installation anywhere desired. All Stratford mailboxes come with the anchor plate. We build and deliver this mailbox in clean raw dark gray hot rolled steel. Much like the grain in wood, this dark steel finish comes with some variety of heat marks from the raw steel cooling in the steel mill. Most people let this mailbox develop a handsome RUST patina over time. The final photo shows it at the tail end of this process when it has cured to orange rust. LOCKING: The Stratford has a locking mailbox front door behind the main front door with a slot at the top for depositing mail. The back compartment has a lock as well with matching keys for both. SHIPPING: This product ships by Truck Freight What do these options mean? Commercial Freight: $200 flat fee added. This is the least expensive option, but the shipping address must be a business address and they must have a forklift or loading dock to unload. Res. & Lift Gate: This is an additional $175 for both Residential delivery and lift gate service, which totals the freight charge to $375. FLAG: We now offer two choices of flags when purchasing your mailbox, a steel flag or red powder coated flag. Please allow 4-5 weeks of fabrication time. Local?
