Made from translucent polypropylene, they let the light through without being transparent. They shield the glow of the bulb from the eye, allowing the shade itself to be seen more clearly by diffusing the light. They are particularly useful for ceiling lights where the bulb is very visible. (More details and photos in separate shop section – lampshade diffusers)Each lampshade is unique with rolled edges and a single seam. It’s not always possible to pattern match at the seam due to pattern placement. The lampshades are backed with fire retardant pvc which has passed the glow wire test conducted by the Lighting Association.Low energy bulbs are recommended for use as they will prevent scorching, use less energy and are therefore cheaper and better for the environment!Lampshades will be shipped using Royal Mail Standard Delivery and will be bubble wrapped.The lampshade includes an adaptor making it suitable either for a standard 28mm British fitting or for a 40mm European fitting.
