MATT BLACK CURTAIN POLESHandmade by PMB SpecialisedWe hand craft our unique curtain poles in our workshop in Merseyside, England.Each order is individually Hand Made using 20mm / 2cm diameter steel pipe with malleable and wrought iron steel fittings.The carbon steel pole used is a robust heavy duty industrial pipe which we then mechanically cut and thread to your chosen size.All curtain poles include 3mm thick laser cut wall plates which are 80mm in diameter.These are then hand welded to the other components and drilled with three countersunk holes for wall mounting.Once we have cleaned and prepared the bare steel We then finish these curtain poles with a matt black cellulose coating which helps protect their rustic characteristics, yet give them a modern / industrial look.Poles 6ft and under are supplied in one piece with two brackets and two finals. Poles over 6ft include a central wall bracket as well as the two outer brackets and are supplied in two pieces.RINGS NOT INCLUDED!!!!All our curtain poles are bespoke, so please be aware that no two items will appear exactly alike. The finish and colour of the steel may vary slightly which we believe adds to its uniqueness.We can make a pole to fit any size of window or door, and are happy to modify our designs to give you exactly what you want. We guarantee to get any issues solved ASAP!HOW TO MEASURE AND ORDER YOUR CURTAIN POLEThis short article explains how to measure your window/door for one of our curtain poles. Before you begin please make sure that you have the following items to hand:Tape measurePencil and paperSome help if it is a large windowThe first stage is to measure the window opening. This is the measurement straight across from left to right. TIP- Make sure that you take your measurement at the top of the window or at the widest point, as sometimes window frames are uneven.Write this measurement down in CM.Now that you know the window width you will need to consider how much ‘drawback’ you would like.Drawback is the amount of curtain pole on either side of the window, and is the part of the pole on which the curtains hang when they are drawn.The amount of drawback you require will largely depend on the thickness of your curtain material, but as a rule of thumb we recommend that you add at least 10%-20% each side.
