LINED – This means it has been lined with another fabric to form a more blackout, non seethrough style of curtain. GATHER – Normally you need to have your curtain wider than your window to allow for the gather or folds in the curtain. They look more natural this way and not stretched from one side to another. Primitive Burlap Valance, Burlap Curtains,Feed Sack Valance,Curtains, Early Look, Burlap Valance , Grain Sack Curtains, Farmhouse Curtains, Shabby Chic. Handmade Made to order: The Primitive curtains are handmade from burlap. In days gone by people would Make Do with what they had available such as burlap feed sacks used to make Curtains. I make my faux feed sack Curtains by first washing the burlap. Then I cut and stencil the pieces of burlap to resemble feed sacks from chicken feed, next I sew them together to resemble four individual feed sacks put together to form a curtain panel. And has a primitive/rustic look. This burlap Valance also goes with Shabby Chic Decor. Made to order. Burlap Valance is also lined with natural Unbleached Muslin. I line my burlap valances with muslin because it makes them much more durable for years of enjoyment.
