Look no further than this STUNNING set of two 1940s red damask curtains! These curtains are made from a very sturdy, heavy-weight linen-weave cotton, with great patina on the dark warm-toned ground. The gorgeous, intricate damask pattern is machine-worked in vivid red thread, and each panel features a lovely red fringe trim. The top edge of each curtain is finished and gathered, with metal hooks hand-stitched to the back for easy hanging! Each curtain panel is backed with plain medium- to heavy-weight cotton in a coordinating warm tone. Stylish yet functional, these curtains bring in plenty of 1940s-chic flair, while blocking out plenty of light 🙂 ~ ( E4000 ) MEASUREMENTS: Each panel measures 95 inches long. The gathered top edge measures 28 inches wide, and the un-gathered bottom edge measures 67 inches wide. CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with storage dust. These curtains show plenty of age spots on the ground throughout. These age spots are large but pale. There is uneven sun exposure across the damask pattern and fringe trim. There is also some fading and sun exposure along the edges each curtain panel. There are some small pale marks here and there throughout on each panel. There is a small hand-stitched repaired seam (around 5 inches in length) along the backing of one panel – the repair is not noticeable from the front. All of the metal hooks are intact and ready for hanging!
