Skeleton Hand Wall Hook Coat Rack Curtain Rod Holder Jewelry Rack Made in NYC
This original design hand carved home fixture was cast in solid white bronze here in NYC. It took a lot to get this right but finally here it is. Specs: 3 1/2 inches tall. 90mm. The hand is 1.2 inches wide. 30mm. The base is 2.4 inches wide. 61mm. The base is 4mm thick. That’s a little thicker than two US quarters stacked on top of each other. In short this was built to take some weight and I didn’t do it on the cheap. It’s a pretty serious piece of hardware. Uses : It’s pretty endless as to what you can do with
one or more of these. On a night stand you can stack rings on the fingers. On a wall you can hang necklaces and rings. Coat rack. It’s smooth so you can hang your leather coats, jackets, hats. Just about anything. Curtain rod holder. Two of these would work. Just drill a little hole in the rod and the screw can go between the finger bones with no drilling into the holder needed. You can use them to hold back your curtains as well. Hat rack, key holder, sunglasses, tools. Again it’s endless and you’re going to think of way more uses for this than I am. Installation. The heads of the two screws you will need are a standard 7mm. It’s a common wood screw head. But if you want to use a toggle screw through dry wall that will fit as well. Talking yourself into spending $200 on a home decor item. You know if this was a bracelet people wouldn’t even blink. I think of these things as jewelry for your home. The difference is that you’re not going to lose it at a party. This is a really well built piece of American craft that’s going to outlast you. Ok that’s dark but it is a skeleton hand. I stand behind the work. I can’t imagine what you could possibly do to break this. I’m really happy with how this turned out. I’m looking forward to the pictures of them in your place.
