Copper damask, 2+ yards of art deco 1940s brocade for curtains, pillows, purses
I’m not sure whether to call this beautiful 1940s fabric damask or brocade. This fabric has an additional color in the weave, a sage green thread that appears in the blooms. It measures 78 inches long and 48 inches wide. The background on this panel is a coppery orange. It’s very shiny and is probably rayon. The brocade flowers and branches are ivory, with the green pulled through in places. This panel once hung as a curtain. I see light fading in spots along the selvedge, so it was probably lined while it hung. Now it’s a panel of vintage fabric, ready for your project of pillows or curtains or glorious purses. However you use it, this fabric is strong and has lots of life left in it.
