I applied a light weight concrete to the exterior. I then painted the outside a mushroom color for the stucco and creams for the stones. The shingles are pine. I made a couple of iron designs. The porch has 2 pots of red roses, a wreath with handmade fabric roses and a polka dot door mat. The door is hinged. The inside is a calm blue color with cream moldings for an extra crisp look. I painted a picture of roses on a yellow background for the fireplace mantle. The floors are carved medium brown wide planks. The window treatments are matchstick blinds with panels of blue curtains for the front window and cafe curtains on the side window. Upstairs, the floor is white(also carved) and the molding is white. I painted 2 pictures of roses for this room. I made a white /blue striped roman shade for the attic window. dollhouse measures: 16 1/4\

This kitchen (from American Home) features several Hazel Dell Brown characteristics. The storage is interesting … everything has a place and the interiors of the cabinets are painted an eye-popping rose red color. The side-mounted faucet over the sink is unusual. I’m particularly fond of the combo of soft pinch-pleat café curtains and matchstick blinds. Cool.
